SMS Messaging Policy

Back to One is a production-management platform used by film and video production companies to coordinate shoots. The platform sends transactional SMS messages — primarily call sheets — to crew and cast members who have been booked onto a specific production.

Recipients consent to receive these messages through the standard professional process of being booked onto a production:

1. A production company books a crew or cast member for a project.
2. As part of that booking, the recipient provides their phone number to the production company verbally, in writing, or through their contractor onboarding paperwork.
3. An authorized representative of the production company (typically the producer or production coordinator) enters that phone number into Back to One.
4. The recipient receives a call-sheet SMS at the time the production issues one.

This mirrors the industry-standard verbal and written consent that occurs when a worker is engaged on a production and provides their contact information to the company employing them.

When the producer collects a phone number verbally at booking, the following script (or a paraphrase of it) is read to the recipient before the number is recorded:

"For [Project Name], we'll send you the call sheet by text message — call time, location, and a link to confirm or decline the day. Messages come from a Back to One toll-free number, only about this production, and you can reply STOP to any of them to opt out at any time. Standard message and data rates may apply. Is the best number for that [phone number]?"

The recipient verbally confirms the number, the producer enters it into Back to One against the recipient's profile, and Back to One stores the number with the project, the producer who entered it, and a timestamp. Numbers never enter the SMS send pipeline except through this producer-mediated booking flow. Recipients can opt out at any time through the methods listed under How to opt out below; replying STOP also opts the number out of every future production on this Back to One number, not only the production it was added to.

Example: Producer: "Welcome aboard. For Simple Skin Promo we'll text you the call sheet — call time, location, confirm link. Comes from a Back to One toll-free number, only about this shoot, reply STOP any time. Standard rates may apply. What's the best number to text?" Recipient: "Sure, it's (714) 482-5567." Producer: "Got it — I'll add you now."

Recipients receive transactional messages only. Typical content:

• Call sheets — call time, shoot date, location, notes.
• Updates or revisions to a previously sent call sheet.
• A link to confirm or decline attendance for the upcoming shoot day.

Message frequency depends on the production schedule — typically zero to a few messages per shoot day. Recipients are only contacted about productions they have been booked onto.

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for messages.

Recipients can opt out at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message.
• Asking the producer to remove them from the call-sheet recipients list.
• Emailing clyde@backtoone.app.

Once opted out, Back to One will not send further messages to that number.

Back to One does not send marketing, promotional, or unsolicited messages. Phone numbers are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties, and are not used outside the production context they were collected for.
